Odisha, bis 2011 Orissa (Oriya ଓଡ଼ିଶା Oṛiśā [oɽiˈsaː] ), ist ein indischer Bundesstaat mit einer Fläche von 155.707 km² und 42 Millionen Einwohnern (Volkszählung 2011). Die Hauptstadt ist Bhubaneswar. Die Amtssprache des Staates und Muttersprache von über 83 Prozent der Bevölkerung ist Oriya. Bei der Form "Odisha" handelt es sich um eine Transliteration, die aber in der Originalaussprache wie "Orissa" gesprochen wird. Das Gleiche gilt für "Odia", ebenfalls eine Transliteration, die wie "Oriya" ausgesprochen wird.
