Eritrea (tigriña: ኤርትራ, Ertrā; árabe: إريتريا, Irītriyā), oficialmente Estado de Eritrea (tigriña: ሃገረ ኤርትራ, Hagere Ertra; árabe: دولة إرتريا, Dawlat Iritriyá), é un país africano, limitado ó norte e leste polo Mar Vermello, ó sur con Djibuti e con Etiopía e ó oeste con Sudán. Corresponde ó antigo litoral de Etiopía, da cal tornouse independente en 1993 despois dunha longa guerra.
