The architectural floor plan is in the shape of a Latin cross, having a curved apse which on the gospel side leads to the sacristy, its altar is a partition covered with flattening dedicated to Lord Calvary, in the arms of de la Cruz has dedicated altars; the one on the left to the Señor de Esquipulas, the one on the right to the Señor del Prendimiento, through this last altar one has access to the sacristy and from here indirect access to the rectory where one can see a patio next to the temple where there is a uncovered staircase that leads to the bells.
In its interior it preserves a magnificent piece carved in wood (protected by armored glass for its preservation) that was part of an altar, possibly from the temple of Santo Domingo in this city. The image represents a descent of Christ and is made in the purest Renaissance style.
