The Migjorn beach is the southernmost beach of the Balearic Islands. Located on the island of Formentera, it covers a large part of the south coast of the island, almost from Cap de Barbaria to La Mola, specifically between Mal Pas and Caló des Mort. It is part of the Natural Area of u200bu200bSpecial Interest of Platja de Migjorn - Costa de Tramuntana.

It is distinguished by its length, with several sectors of coves and sandbars. The interior is a dune system with anchoring vegetation (pines, sedges and shrubs) and a gentle slope. The wind is from sea to land with moderate waves. The bottom is covered with extensive meadows of posidonia and the water is crystal clear and calm. In the most western part, the massive presence of algae can form consistent bars.

The beach extends through three sales with several sectors. From west to east they are:

  • Sell from Pi from Catalan
    • Es Mal Pas, with the presence of algae.
  • Sale from Ca Marí – Noon
    • Sa Platgeta
    • Es Ca Marí, with the presence of algae. It has jetties in the place called ses Barques des Ca Marí, and an urbanized area for tourist use.
    • Platja des Pou d'en Rempuixa, between the rocky sections of the corner of Bonet and the corner of Fondo.
  • Ses Clotades for sale, enclosed land with an abundance of dunes:
    • Es Códol Foradat, with beaches separated by rock formations.
    • Es Valencians, with some traditional fishing piers.
    • Ses Pedrises
    • Es Arenals, or s Arenal, is a stretch with an abundance of white sand and dunes.
    • Es Copinar, is the eastern end at the foot of the Mola with an urbanized tourist area. Cockroaches used to abound there.
