TheLake Gento is a lake of glacial origin that is 2,141 m above sea level, at the head of the Flamisell river, in the Fosca valley (Pallars Jussà), in the term Torre de Cabdella municipality. Its surface is 28 hectares and the volume of water contained is 4.24 cubic hectometres. The name Gento comes from the old Occitan and Catalan gent, genta, 'kind, beautiful', with the form ending in -O from the pre-Catalan pallarès
