Búnquers del Carmel
The misnamed Búnquers del Carmel is a viewpoint located at the top of Turó de la Rovira, in the Horta-Guinardó district, from which you can see all of Barcelona. The origin of this space can be found in the Spanish Civil War when the republican forces installed an anti-aircraft battery to protect Barcelona from the bombings of the Italian fascist aviation. Later, in the 1940s and 1950s, a neighborhood of barracks was established around this site, which initially took advantage of the abandoned buildings that occupied the anti-aircraft battery and other facilities. Currently, it is a place very visited by tourists, as it provides one of the best views of the entire city of Barcelona.
