The monastery of San Lorenzo de Trasouto, currently called the pazo de San Lorenzo, is a complex of buildings of monastic origin located in Santiago de Compostela, specifically in the area outside the walls, outside the walled area of u200bu200bthe city. Despite the fact that the first buildings date from 1216, it will undergo a series of modifications throughout history, both in the 15th and early 16th centuries, moments in which extensions were made, such as that of the sacristy.[1]u200b

In 2015, in the approval by UNESCO of the extension of the Camino de Santiago in Spain to «Caminos de Santiago de Compostela: Camino Francés y Caminos del Norte de España», Spain sent as documentation an «Inventory Retrospective - Associated Components» (Retrospective Inventory - Associated Components) in which the monastery of San Lorenzo de Trasouto appears in no. 848.[3]u200b
