Okunoin

Okuno-in or Okunoin (meaning "bottom temple") is a graveyard and sacred area located on Mount Koya, in Wakayama Prefecture, at the south of Osaka in Japan. The cemetery is the largest in Japan and contains around 200,000 graves of all shapes, sizes and eras.[1]u200b It is located at an altitude of 800 meters in a forest, among ancient cedars. It has 120 temples in its vicinity and a university for religious studies.
