Maykop Cathedral Mosque (Russian: Майкопская соборная мечеть) (Adighe: Мыекъуапэ йы гурыт мэ щыт), or better known as < b>Maykop Central Mosque (Russian: Майкопская центральная мечеть) is a historical mosque complex in the city of Maykop, Republic of Adygea, Russia. The mosque was originally built in 1999, at the personal expense of Khalid bin Saqr al-Qasimi, former crown prince of the Emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, United Arab Emirates, and with the approval of the first president of the Republic of Adygea. This mosque was built over a period of 18 months, and was only inaugurated on November 2, 2000.
