The Debré Berhan Selassie Church, "Mount of the Light of the Trinity", is an ancient and very famous Ethiopian Orthodox church located on a hill at the northern limit, towards the northeast from the city of Gondar, Ethiopia. It is located in the center of the conventual area.

It was believed for a long time that the church was built during the reign of Emperor Iyasou I^er and consecrated in 1694, date from which it would not have undergone any artistic and architectural changes. In fact, research has proven that the paintings were made between 1815 and 1825; remains of the foundations of a central plan church with a diameter of about 30 m have been found, along the north and south sides of the he church, it is said that it was destroyed by lightning and that it was replaced by the current rectangular church after the fire.

The building is 27 m long and 7.40 m< /abbr> wide, it is surrounded by a covered ambulatory 2.30 m wide. One can access, to the west, a narthex 10.30 m long, single room with windows. Sumptuous paintings adorn the ceiling and the walls, the richness of these decorations make the reputation of the church.
