The carretera de les Aigües is a walking path located in the Serra de Collserola, in the municipality of Barcelona.
It runs along the slope facing the city of Barcelona, u200bu200bfrom the neighborhood of Penitents to the neighborhood of Pedralbes and Esplugues de Llobregat. It has a length from end to end of about 10 km: approximately 1 km from Carrer del Comte de Noroña to the Plan dels Maduixers, and a further 9 km to Plaça de Mireia, considered a "sports circuit" by the City Council de Barcelona.
Its origin lies in the route of an old water distribution pipe, the reason for its horizontal layout and its name.
The path has good views over the city and is commonly used for walking. It has recently been extended at the end of Llobregat to connect with Esplugues (in Plaça Mireia), and at the end of Besòs there is a project to extend it while integrating other existing tracks (this extension would lose the horizontal character of the rest of the walk). It is part of the Green Round of Barcelona.
