Description

ถ้ำมันโมดีเป็นกลุ่มถ้ำหินที่อยู่ห่างจากเมือง Junnar ในอินเดียไปทางใต้ประมาณ 3 กม. ถ้ำอื่นๆ รอบเมือง Junnar ได้แก่ ถ้ำ Tulja, ถ้ำ Shivneri และถ้ำ Lenyadri

เชื่อกันว่าถ้ำตั้งอยู่บนเส้นทางการค้าตามธรรมชาติ เกิดขึ้นจากทางผ่านจากชายฝั่งไปยังที่ราบสูงหินบะซอลต์ของ ตะวันตก Ghats ถ้ำแห่งหนึ่งในมันโมดีมีบทประพันธ์ที่กล่าวถึงนาหปานะตะวันตกที่มีชื่อมหากษัตราปา (มหาสัตตรา)
