Australija (angl. Australia), oficialiai Australijos Sandrauga (angl. Commonwealth of Australia) – šešta pagal plotą pasaulio valstybė, apimanti Australijos žemyną, Tasmanijos salą ir daug mažesnių aplinkinių salų. Pietryčiuose yra Naujoji Zelandija, šiaurėje – Indonezija, Papua Naujoji Gvinėja ir Rytų Timoras, šiaurės rytuose Saliamono salos ir Vanuatu.

Australijai priklausančios teritorijos: Indijos vandenyne – Ašmoro ir Kartjė salos, Kalėdų sala, Kokosų salos, Ramiajame vandenyne – Norfolko sala, Koralų jūros salų teritorija, Antarktyje – Australijos Antarktinė teritorija ir Herdo ir Makdonaldo salų teritorija.

„Australijos“ pavadinimas kilęs iš lot. terra australis incognita (nežinoma Pietų Žemė). Taip vadinta pusiau mitinė teritorija kažkur toli pietuose.
