Sant Miquel de la Roqueta
Sant Miquel de la Roqueta is a modernist chapel by the architect Joan Rubió i Bellver built in Ripoll (Ripollès). It is protected as a cultural asset of local interest.
The work starts from the lesson that Joan Rubió draws from the anonymous architecture of dry stone constructions, representing an essay on the great subsequent achievements. It articulates a construction system based on rough river stone and a structure of conical vaults that form the apse around the central dome.
It was built by order of Marià de Delàs, baron of Vilagaià, to replace a chapel dedicated to Sant Miquel.
