Parque natural de los Valles Occidentales
The Western Valleys Natural Park (in Aragonese Parque Natural d'as Vals Occidentals) is a Spanish natural park located at the westernmost end of the Aragonese Pyrenees, in the Jacetania region. It covers the municipalities of Aísa, Ansó, Aragüés del Puerto, Borau, Jasa, Valle de Hecho and Canal de Berdún.
It has 27,073 ha and another 7,335 of peripheral protection zone. Its altitude ranges between 900 meters above sea level at the bottom of the valley and 2,670 meters above sea level at the top of Bisaurín.[1 ]u200b
Its location decisively conditions its climate, with a clear Atlantic influence. That is why the vegetation is humid and cool, with the proliferation of large areas of beech, fir, black pine and yew forests.

The animal population is of extraordinary wealth. Some bear specimens still resist and it is the territory of the bearded vulture, the otter, the red kite or the hen harrier.[1 ]u200b
The natural park was created by Law 14/2006 of the Government of Aragon.[2 ]u200b It is also ZEC and ZEPA.
