Mănăstirea Țipova
( Monestir de Ţipova )The Ţipova Monastery is an architectural complex consisting of three churches and auxiliary cave rooms, located in Ţipova, Rezina District, Moldova. The churches that make up the complex are: the Church of the Holy Cross (11th-12th centuries), the Church of Sant Nicolau (xiv century) and the Church of the Assumption of Mary (16th-18th centuries). The complex has three levels that communicate with each other with tunnels, galleries and stairs. The monastic complex is on the right bank of the Nistru River, a few kilometers from the town of Ţipova, and 40 kilometers from the capital, Chişinău. The whole is excavated in the gypsum rock. The coast where the complex is located has a height of 100 meters above the water level of the river.
