The Festa dei Gligli is a popular Catholic festival held every year in Nola on the occasion of the patron saint's day dedicated to San Paolino. With this event the people of Nolan remember the return to the city of Pontius Meropius Paulinus from imprisonment by the barbarians in the first half of the 5th century. The festival is part of the Network of large Italian backpack machines included in the UNESCO Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity since December 2013.
