The Carrícola Castle is a late Andalusian fortification of small dimensions, located in the municipality of Palomar, but very close to the town center of Carrícola, in the Vall d'Albaida, Valencian Country. It is declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.
Although forming part of a mountainous range in the Palomar area, the so-called castle has been associated since its origin with the locality of the same name, located right at the foot of a rock in the Sierra del Benicadell, which supports the walls of the construction.
It belonged to the defensive line of castles located in the Benicadell mountain range, which controlled the passage to Alicante via Salem, Albaida and Carrícola.
