Löwenburg (Kassel)

El Löwenburg[1][2]​ es un palacio de placer construido en 1793 en el Kasseler Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe.

El castillo, construido como una ruina artificial, se alza sobre el castillo de Wilhelmshöhe en la parte sur del parque de montaña y, por lo tanto, al sur del eje visual Schloss Wilhelmshöhe-Herkules a unos 350 m sobre el nivel del mar. NN en el borde oriental del Hohen Habichtswald. El Löwenburg sirvió a su constructor Guillermo I de Hesse-Kassel. de Hesse-Kassel como retiro privado y en 1821 también su tumba. En términos de historia del arte, la instalación se considera innovadora, como uno de los primeros edificios importantes del Renacimiento gótico en Alemania.
