Lucy (Australopithecus)

Description

Lucy é o nome común de AL 288-1, un conxunto de ósos fósiles que representan o 40 por cento do esqueleto dunha femia de homínido da especie Australopithecus afarensis. En Etiopía, o conxunto é coñecido como Dinkinesh, que significa "é marabilloso" en lingua amhárica. Lucy foi descuberta en 1974 preto de Hadar no val de Awash na Depresión de Afar en Etiopía polo paleoantropoloxía Donald Johanson.
