Via Roma (Torino)

Via Roma is one of the main streets in the historic center of Turin. It connects piazza Castello to corso Vittorio Emanuele II and includes piazza C.L.N. and piazza San Carlo, ending in piazza Carlo Felice. Oriented on the north-south axis, it runs parallel to the grid of the typical layout of the Roman cities of Julia Augusta Taurinorum. The street can be reached from Piazza Carlo Felice or from Piazza Castello, where the main public transport lines of buses and trams pass. The stretch still open to vehicles is crossed by an electric bus line, the Star 1.
