Castillo de Nogalte
The Castle of Nogalte (Puerto Lumbreras, in the province of Murcia) is a medieval Islamic fortress built around the XIII century. It is located next to the urban center of Puerto Lumbreras, on a mountainous spur on the southern edge of the Sierra de La Torrecilla, in a strategic position from which several outcroppings of water and various natural pathways can be seen: to the east, the Lorca path , which connects through the Guadalentín river valley to Murcia; to the north, through the Rambla de Nogalte, towards Granada; and to the west, towards Almería through the Almanzora valley.[1]u200b It is an Asset of Cultural Interest according to the Second Additional Provision of Law 16/1985 of June 25.
